Will stand against those who disrespect Supreme Court: Nawaz Sharif
LAHORE: We will not only follow the Supreme Court orders, but will also stand against those who disrespect them, said Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif on Saturday, speaking with regard to the prime minister contempt case.
“People are making plans against the Supreme Court orders. This is extremely sad and is not acceptable at all,” Sharif stated.
The party leader further slammed the incumbent government by saying that it is not only the ruling party which is involved in corruption and other misdeeds, but the coalition partners are also equally responsible.
“The coalition parties are supporting the government in this unemployment, inflation and loadshedding… All the parties are equally involved in disparaging the Supreme Court.”
On the opposition’s call to present new recommendations for the revised national security policy, Sharif said that talks and discussions are underway and the recommendations can only be put forward when finalised.
